POSITION SUMMARY
This position involves monitoring patients through video software, ensuring their safety, and providing clear, professional communication. Responsibilities include documenting incidents, notifying nursing staff when assistance is needed, and addressing potential safety concerns. Teamwork is essential, as the role requires participating in safety reporting and following protocols to prevent hazards. Shift transitions involve sharing important updates about patient behavior and ensuring consistent care. As a Video Monitoring Technician, you will help to ensure that our patients and their families receive caring and dedicated service at REHAB.
Pay Range:
$16.26/hour to $24.40/hour The actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Skills/Experience:
Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Ability to learn new software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Experience:
Previous video monitoring, surveillance and/or patient care experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Proficiently uses video monitoring software and maintains continuous visual observation of patients. Communicates clear instructions and safety precautions without providing opinions and maintains confidentiality. Documents incidents requiring intervention and ensures records are accurate and complete. Immediately notifies nursing staff of patient needs or safety concerns and requests assistance when necessary. Transfers critical information about patient behavior during shift changes to ensure continuity of care. Identifies and reports safety hazards, collaborating with nursing staff to address them. Adheres to hospital policies, including dress code, house rules, and maintaining a clean, distraction-free workspace. Participates in safety programs, complies with technical skill reviews, and completes ongoing education requirements. Demonstrates professionalism, customer service, and respect for patients' rights and preferences. Supports the hospital's mission and values by identifying solutions to challenges and promoting continuous improvement. Maintains flexibility with work schedules and completes assignments within designated hours. Positively contributes to team dynamics, supports management directives, and adheres to compliance programs and policies.

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS USED
Video surveillance and office equipment, including telephone, computer and multifunction devices (MFDs). Google's G Suite, report writer and database software.
