Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Technician (Med Tech), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and well-being. In this vital role, you will assist in providing high-quality medical support within an assisted living facility. Your skills in medication administration, medical documentation, and patient monitoring will ensure residents and patients receive compassionate, safe, and effective care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, and mental health. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a nurturing environment that promotes health and dignity for all. Responsibilities Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining detailed medical records Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Bluestep Provide compassionate care Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident or patient Cooking meals Cleaning and sanitizing Administering medications as prescribed Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is prefered but not required Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic nursing practices such as medication administration and vitals Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Bluestep for accurate documentation of patient records Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus Ability to perform vital sign measurements accurately and respond promptly to changes in patient condition Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of medical information Certification as a Med Tech or similar credential is required Work 2pm-10pm weekends preferred Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing exceptional medical support that enhances the quality of life for those we serve.
