Peoria, IL Job Details Part-time $19.06 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Veterinary Technician Certification High school diploma or GED Safe environment creation Animal welfare Entry level Full Job Description Job Description Summary Part-Time Position. Performs a variety of tasks to provide adequate food, medication, and a clean safe environment for animals in the kennel. Assists the public within the shelter; and implements the policies of the adoption program. Assists with implantation of microchips. Morning shifts 8am-1pm, includes weekend work. High school diploma or GED required. Related experience in the field of animal care, or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions with close attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to detect symptoms of rabies and other illnesses. Credentialed veterinary technician preferred.
