In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality patient care across a diverse range of medical settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and specialized clinics such as geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health. Your expertise will help ensure efficient clinical operations, accurate assessments, and personalized treatment plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact patient outcomes and community health. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans. Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, following strict safety protocols. Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, catheterization, phlebotomy, and spinal taps with precision and aseptic technique. Manage patient documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, Cerner, or Athenahealth to ensure accurate medical records. Assist with diagnostic evaluations utilizing sonography, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and medical imaging tools. Provide patient education on medication administration, nutrition, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension), and preventive care strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU or trauma centers to deliver exceptional patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Skills Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for documentation and case management. Proficiency in performing advanced clinical procedures such as dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, spinal taps, and tube feeding. Strong background in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine or geriatrics. Critical care experience in hospital or ICU environments; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is highly valued. Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding systems for billing and documentation purposes. Skilled in triage assessment for urgent care or emergency room situations; capable of handling airway management and ventilator support when needed. Experience working with diverse populations including children (pediatrics), seniors (geriatrics), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Familiarity with occupational health protocols including workers' compensation law and post-acute care practices such as discharge planning and utilization review.
