As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Observation Unit at Deaconess Gateway, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care while working alongside a dedicated team of nurses and healthcare professionals. What You'll Do As a key member of the care team, you'll provide hands-on support that promotes patient comfort, safety, and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting patients with personal care needs such as bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes Supporting mobility, repositioning, transfers, and ambulation Monitoring and documenting vital signs and patient observations Recording important patient information accurately in medical records Providing compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families throughout their stay Every interaction is an opportunity to enhance the patient experience and contribute to high-quality care. Because patients typically stay between 8 and 24 hours, team members gain exposure to a wide variety of diagnoses and medical conditions, making this an outstanding environment for learning and professional development.

Qualifications Required:

Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire
