Varies Build Meaningful Connections While Supporting Patients Through Their Healing Journey Are you looking for a rewarding healthcare role where you can make a lasting impact on patients and their families? As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on our Surgery Oncology Unit, you'll be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing surgery and cancer treatment. What You'll Do Working closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals, you'll provide hands-on support that enhances patient comfort, safety, and recovery.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting patients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes Supporting mobility, ambulation, repositioning, and transfers to promote healing and independence Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting observations to the care team Accurately documenting patient information in medical records Providing compassionate emotional support to patients and families during important moments in their care journey Every day offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients facing surgical recovery and cancer treatment. Why You'll Love This Unit The Surgery Oncology Unit is a 32-bed inpatient adult comprehensive multidisciplinary department that provides specialized care for both surgical and oncology patients. This unique combination offers valuable exposure to a wide range of patient conditions and treatments, making it an excellent environment for learning and professional growth.

Caring for both general surgery and oncology patients in a dynamic and collaborative setting Supporting patients through every stage of care, from pre-operative preparation to post-surgical recovery Exposure to oncology treatments, including chemotherapy administration support and symptom management Remote telemetry capabilities that enhance patient monitoring and safety Private patient rooms designed to promote comfort, healing, and family involvement A strong focus on patient and family education to ensure informed, patient-centered care Opportunities to develop meaningful relationships with patients and families throughout their treatment journey What We're Looking For We're seeking compassionate, dependable individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional care and creating positive experiences for patients and families. Qualifications Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire Successful completion of PCT classes as required by the care center/unit
Preferred:
