ED Tech Various Shifts and Weekly Hours Emergency Dept. I Georgetown, KY Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care
  • Georgetown is a healthcare facility located in Scott County, KY.

First Shift
  • full time 36 hrs(7a-7p) Third Shift
  • full time 36 hrs (7p-7a) First Shift
  • part time 24hrs (7a-7p) Third Shift

Description:
The Nursing Assistant II (Emergency Department Technician) functions within the multidisciplinary team that cares for the ED patient under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse. Demonstrates excellent communication and coordination of patient care/department flow. Working knowledge of appropriate computer functions and systems for assigned duties. Maintains work area to ensure efficient operation and workflow. Collects, process, transports and analyzes specimens according to approved standards of testing per laboratory policies and procedures. Demonstrates proficiency in patient care, according to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with level of education. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date. Previous laboratory or customer service experience preferred . Data entry and computer experience and /or phlebotomy, point of care testing experience preferred.
