Role:
Join our dedicated team at ComForCare Home Health Care in Slidell, LA, as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA). In this rewarding role, you will provide essential support and care to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being. Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks. Monitor and report changes in clients' health and behavior to the care team. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Document care activities and maintain accurate records. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a PCA is preferred. Previous experience in home health care or a related field is a plus. Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong desire to help others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must pass background checks and drug screening. Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes. Flexible schedule to accommodate clients' needs.
