Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA), Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This vital role involves providing high-quality, person-centered care to residents in senior living, nursing homes, or community-based settings. Duties Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support in accordance with care plans Administer medications safely following established protocols and document all medication administration accurately in medical records systems like Epic or Cerner Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assess residents' health status Support residents with activities of daily living including feeding, toileting, catheter care, and tube feeding management Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality of all patient information and medical records Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition promptly to nursing staff or supervisors Assist with mobility and manual handling tasks using proper techniques to ensure safety for both residents and staff Participate in training on emergency procedures such as CPR and first aid to respond effectively during crises Experience Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and geriatric care best practices Hands-on experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner is advantageous Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory support strategies, and hospice services is desirable Proven ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members in a compassionate manner Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities-related needs is a plus Knowledge of state healthcare regulations and senior care standards ensures compliance and quality service delivery Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing exceptional resident care while fostering a positive environment that values your skills and growth.
