Med Tech/ Caregiver 3rd Shift The Oasis of Holt Holt, MI Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Hospice experience HIPAA End-of-life care Health information management Medical terminology Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Med Tech/Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals across assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those experiencing memory loss or dementia. Your expertise will help enhance patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being while supporting their daily activities and medical needs. Responsibilities Assist residents and patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition to promote independence and dignity Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to ensure patient stability Administer medications and treatments accurately following medical protocols and HIPAA regulations Support specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice support, tube feeding, catheter care, and medication administration Maintain detailed medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to ensure timely intervention and optimal care delivery Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and medical documentation practices Hands-on experience with medical procedures such as catheter care, tube feeding, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is advantageous for efficient record management Background working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances your ability to provide empathetic support Experience in hospice or memory care settings demonstrates your capacity for compassionate end-of-life or dementia-related caregiving Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance ensures confidentiality and privacy of patient information Join us in delivering exceptional care that transforms lives!
