Schedule & Clinic Details Workweek:
Three 12-14 hour shifts per week (gives you 4 days off a week!)

Clinic Operations:
6 days a week The Patient Care Technician (PCT) assists registered nurses in providing life-saving dialysis treatment for End-Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) patients. All duties are performed under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Patient Preparation & Monitoring:
Receives patients into the treatment area; weighs patients, takes temperature and blood pressure pre- and post-dialysis, and documents all parameters.
Equipment Management:
Sets up, monitors, cleans, and disinfects dialysis machines and reverse osmosis water systems; responds to visual and audible alarms during treatments.
Clinical Support:
Obtains blood samples and culture specimens, prepares them for shipment, and monitors the status of vascular accesses.
Dialysis Initiation:
Initiates dialysis via approved accesses using proper cannulation techniques after completing your clinical training.
Data Collection:
Monitors patient observations and treatment compliance; reports any out-of-range parameters to the registered nurse. Education and Requirements Accredited High School diploma, general education development (GED) credential, or equivalent. Desire to learn and compassion for patients—we will teach you the rest! Dialysis Technician Certification (must be obtained within 18 months of hire—we provide the training to help you get this!). Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification (must be obtained within 60 days of employment).
Preferred but not required:
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification. Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to lift a minimum of 5 lbs to a max of 50 lbs unassisted and able to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use a full range of body motions.
