JOB DESCRIPTION
Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Clinical Support Technician to join our Digestive Care team and make a difference for our patients and our community. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the supervision of the registered nurse, the Clinical Support Technician position will provide and/or support patient care by performing tasks and duties consistent with professional standards and HealthPartners policies and procedures. In addition, this role may function in supply aid and/or sterilization capacity by maintaining a safe work area and ensuring that it is adequately stocked, cleaned and organized, along with the implementation of cleaning and sterilizing procedures to support infection control and OSHA standards. The main functions will include rooming patients, clerical tasks consistent with office duties, and patient support roles.
Work Schedule:
1.00 FTE. Day shifts. Monday-Friday. 7:30 am or 8:00 am start times.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED 2 years customer service experience and/or healthcare experience Complete Medical Terminology and Pharmacology online courses within six months of hire Complete BLS course within 1 week of hire and maintained BLS certification in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA). No online only courses are accepted Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years pharmacy technician experience -OR- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program and current
