Responsibilities Assist residents with daily personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medications and treatments following prescribed protocols under supervision, ensuring accuracy and safety Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any abnormalities promptly Maintain detailed medical records and documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or similar platforms Support residents with specialized needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care, including memory care strategies and behavioral management Follow strict HIPAA guidelines to maintain resident confidentiality and protect sensitive medical information Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans that address individual needs related to physiology, anatomy, and overall health status Assist with medical procedures such as tube feeding, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS/CPR) when necessary Engage in manual handling techniques for safe resident transfers and heavy lifting tasks in compliance with safety standards Participate in ongoing training related to state healthcare regulations, hospice care practices, and caregiving best practices Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration procedures Certification or training in first aid and basic life support (CPR) required; additional certifications in hospice or dementia care are a plus Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) such as Cerner or similar platforms for accurate documentation Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while maintaining resident safety at all times Strong communication skills for caregiver interaction and resident engagement Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Working knowledge of state healthcare regulations governing senior living facilities and medical documentation standards Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments is advantageous Join us in providing exceptional care that enriches lives.
