We are currently seeking an experienced:
HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT JOB SUMMARY
Due to the nature of the job, a high degree of confidentiality and ethics are mandatory Maintain Provider visit log, at least monthly Scans applicable documentation into software system to maintain the most up-to-date & accurate clinical chart Monitor and maintain orders pending signature and monthly order reviews in the software system Enter vital baselines in software system. Conduct specific audits deemed necessary by the HIM Manager. Meets with HIM Manager on a monthly basis to offer concerns, solutions and suggestions to improve department. copies of documentation from the EHR system upon ROI request In case of fire or fire drill: Shut off all electrical equipment within HIM office to designated area In case of evacuation: s to evacuation assembly area and documents patient arrival Pulls Facesheet/Diagnosis sheet binder from HIM office to identify residents Prepare emergency packet. Refer to LHRS Disaster Plan Policy Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Must befortable working on a dual-screenputer daily. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet navigation, basic file management and ability to type at a reasonable speed (approx. 40 wpm) Must be able to work well under pressure. Must be able to cooperate and effectivelymunicate with other staff members. Must be able to utilize critical thinking and problem solve. Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene. Dresses appropriately and professionally. Must read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies. Must have a valid driver's license in the state of employment Must be willing to perform various jobs.
