experience credit added to wage Job Summary The Patient Care Technician (PCT) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The Patient Care Technician provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Whether you're seasoned in the field or just starting out, we welcome patient care technicians of all experience levels. Your day to day may include: Taking patient vital signs Rooming patients for providers Cleaning and stocking patient treatment rooms Assisting providers and nursing team as needed Available for you: Specialized on-boarding and on the job training Career advancement through educational assistance A workspace that values an encouraging employee experience Qualifications High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment. If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.
