Job Title:
Pharmacy Technician

7am to 3pm (5
  • 8 hr Days) / 3pm to 11pm (5
  • 8 hr Evenings) / 8pm to 7am (3
  • 12 hr Nights)

Required:
Current, active registration with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Technician Certificate. EPIC experience - required.
Job Duties :
Fill medication orders accurately and promptly for pharmacist review and dispensing. Prepare extemporaneous and sterile IV medications using proper aseptic technique. Stock pharmacy areas and replenish carts, trays, boxes, kits, and medication supplies. Distribute medications through pneumatic tube systems, hand delivery, and courier services. Process returns from nursing stations and manage discontinued or unused medications. Prepare and maintain IV batches, including required documentation and labeling. Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, IV equipment, total parenteral nutrition, and safe handling of hazardous drugs. Maintain and troubleshoot automated dispensing machines, including Omnicell. Process stock-outs, failed drawers, discrepancy reports, and medication reconciliation. Maintain accurate inventory and ensure medications and supplies are stored appropriately. Respond professionally to phone, window, and departmental requests. Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy staff, nurses, patients, and other healthcare professionals. Follow all applicable pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 40.0 per week
