PCT:
Responsibilities Patient Care Technician works alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting by improving patient satisfaction by influencing patient throughput.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Minimum 6 months in an acute care hospital setting Prior experience in performing EKG and phlebotomy procedures BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Patient care or EKG and phlebotomy certificate Cardiac Credentialing International Certification Emergency Department Experience Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
