Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings. Responsibilities Assist with daily patient care activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, accurately documenting all findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, including those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care, memory care, or behavioral health support Maintain a safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols, especially when working with infectious disease cases or in sterile procedures Assist with medication administration under supervision, following all HIPAA guidelines and medical documentation standards Operate medical equipment such as catheters, IVs, and other devices while ensuring proper use and safety compliance in accordance with hospital or long-term care facility policies Requirements Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification or equivalent licensure Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation Prior experience caring for individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease or behavioral health needs is highly desirable Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings such as critical care units (ICU), pediatric units (PICU), or post-acute care environments Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient service and caregiving Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care! Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
