Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) working 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents and patients in a dynamic environment. Your energy and attention to detail will ensure that individuals receive personalized support, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and medical documentation standards. Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health challenges. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques, infection control procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Document all patient interactions thoroughly in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management. Requirements Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification or equivalent licensure. Prior experience in long-term care facilities such as assisted living or nursing homes is highly preferred. Experience working in acute care settings like hospitals or Level I/II trauma centers is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for documentation purposes. Ability to work a 12-hour shift from 7am to 7pm with flexibility for overtime if needed. Strong communication skills and compassionate caregiving attitude to support individuals with disabilities or special needs.
