Job Description

THIS POSITION IS POSTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AFSCME COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT SUMMARY
The Management Technician in this position provides support to the overall organization, management and operation of the Dean's Office and College of Health Sciences. Review the PA Specifications for this Job Title. The above duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provide technical program and/or systems functional support Assist with college business operations. Coordinate faculty, temp, and staff hiring process. Monitor faculty workload. Serve as liaison for facilities and management. Facilitate and maintain academic contracts, clinical agreements, and articulation. Administer procurement and purchasing for college. Monitor budgets, including preparation, and analyses for but not limited to operating, ESF, other E&G, Foundation, grants and contracts, and grad assistant/scholarships. Implement website changes and news posts for the college. Interview, hire and supervise student workers for college. Assist Associate Dean with student record correspondence and review. Review internship records to be sure students are registered for approved sites. Facilitate communications with students on academic probation or who have been dismissed. Send and track changes in semester schedule forms for all departments in Health Sciences. Maintain active and inactive student files. Coordinate all paperwork related to field experience including applications and exemption forms. Process Health Science iforms for a change of major, minor, or certificate and submission of academic recovery worksheets. Performs related work as required.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Three years of advanced clerical or paraprofessional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information. or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Candidates must communicate effectively and perform well in the interview(s). Candidates must have communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and community members. The salary for this position is determined by the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement.
