In this vital role, you will provide exceptional care and support to residents across assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and community-based settings. Your expertise will help enhance the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, and other memory-related conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive caregiving and medical support. All roles are paid positions, reflecting our commitment to valuing every team member's contribution. Responsibilities Deliver personalized patient care by assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Support medication administration following strict protocols and medical terminology guidelines while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Assist with specialized care procedures such as catheter care, tube feeding, and wound management for residents with complex medical needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records of patient progress, treatments, and interventions in accordance with healthcare standards. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed effectively. Engage in ongoing training related to physiology knowledge, anatomy, dementia care techniques, hospice care practices, and working with individuals with disabilities. Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, catheter care, and anatomy is essential. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is a plus. Strong caregiving skills demonstrated through experience in Alzheimer's care, memory care or senior care settings. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities of any kind. Excellent communication skills along with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care. Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous; relevant healthcare certifications are preferred.
