Job Description

Description:
Obtain patient history before exam; advise technologist of any concerns. Acknowledge patients and offer assistance. Verify LMP's and perform pregnancy tests as needed. Start IV's Obtain previous reports and exams from other facilities. Update system with the correct order/charges. Answer MR/CT calls when tech is away from desk; route calls to proper areas. Mix contrast. Monitor schedule for rescheduled, canceled, and add on patients; notify technologist of any changes. Do deliveries to other facilities as needed. Maintain Exam Delivery/Special Request work queue. Remind techs of prints to MT for delivery. Keep MR/CT rooms stocked with supplies; alert Technologist/Manager of needed supplies. Assist with room set up; change sheets and clean room after patients Bring patients back to dressing room and give proper dressing instructions. Escort patients to scan room with technologist. Burn CD's, prepare reprints, print reports and log into computer. Assist all Techs as needed. Backup/assist MR/CT protocols as needed.
HOURS:
Must Have Open Availability to including Rotating Saturdays and Late Shift.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Computer literate, 10 key by touch, insurance knowledge 2-3 years in physicians office
