  • General Internal Medicine
  • 7a•7p The General Internal Medicine unit is a 25-bed medical oncology unit providing care to adult and geriatric patients ranging in age from 18•95.
Four monitored beds are designated for melanoma, renal cell carcinoma, sarcoma, cervical, ovarian, thoracic and pancreatic cancer patients receiving high-dose bolus interleukin-2 and/or targeted cellular therapy requiring cardiac monitoring.
Primary populations treated include:
melanoma, sarcoma and GI patients receiving complex chemotherapeutic and bio-immunotherapeutic regimens and all solid tumor cancer patients receiving immune effector cell therapy. The Ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one year of healthcare experience . They work well on a care team , assisting with patient activities, vital signs, and maintaining a safe environment while ensuring accurate patient information updates.
Working Hours:
The working hours for this role will be 7a-7p. It will be 3 days a week at 12hrs a day. At MD Anderson, we offer careers built on care, growth, and balance. Essential Job Functions:
Acts as a member of a multidisciplinary team to identify and address patient care needs Assists with activities of daily living, patient mobilization, admissions/discharges, and obtaining vital signs Updates and retrieves patient information accurately Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment Functions as part of an assigned care team Other duties as assigned.
Education Required:

At least one year of Healthcare Experience.
