Join University Health as an Emergency Center Technician, where you will play a crucial role in direct and indirect patient care within a dynamic emergency environment. This position involves assisting EC staff with patient preparation and treatment procedures for both acute and non-acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring efficient and compassionate support. What Your Day Will Look Like Report and record direct and indirect patient care data. Assist Emergency Center (EC) staff with patient preparation. Support treatment procedures for acute and non-acute illnesses and injuries. Take patients' vital signs. Transport patients to other locations as required. Who We're Searching For We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Emergency Center team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational knowledge, demonstrated by a high school diploma or equivalent. Crucially, you must hold a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card, reflecting your commitment to essential life support skills. While not mandatory, candidates with valid Texas EMT certification or equivalent experience are highly preferred. This includes individuals with three years of experience in a comparable emergency department or two years of military experience with similar responsibilities. Your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to exceptional patient care will be key to your success in this role.
