POSITION'S ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates. Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and phlebotomy procedures as required. Assist with patient mobility, including repositioning, transferring, and ambulation. Provide basic medical care, such as changing dressings and applying prescribed treatments. Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients. Support patients with toileting needs and maintain personal hygiene. Communicate effectively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals about patient conditions and concerns. Assist in the collection of medical specimens for testing. Observe and report changes in a patient's physical, mental, and emotional health. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care. Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and staff. All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrates the ability to work under pressure or stress. Must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess good oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles. Strong assessment, organizational and problem - solving skills as evidenced by capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components. Ability to function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, interprofessional care team and patients and their families. Uses critical thinking skills and clinical judgment to work autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates the ability to establish priorities among the essential functions of the job and coordinate these functions with others. Demonstrates the ability to speak, read, and write the English language. Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate. Current and active CPR certification.
