Description Description Responsible for the medical and mental care of Danville City Jail Inmates Responsible for dispensing on all medication; responsible for making medical appointments for inmates; order all medication and medical supplies needed to operate the jail efficiently; maintain inmate medical records as specified by the Virginia Department of Corrections; treat inmates with minor injuries following jail doctors protocol; assist the jail physician on his weekly sick call. Knowledge of approved principles, practices and procedures of Sheriff's Office; knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Sheriff's Office; ability to analyze injuries or illnesses. Be able to take blood pressure, vein puncture, and other vitals etc. of inmates Licensed LPN/EMT experience Preferred. Valid Driver's license
