Role:
South Richmond Adult Day Care is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) to join our caring team in Richmond, VA. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults who depend on us for support, dignity, and quality care every day.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene Support clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to supervisory staff Engage clients in recreational, social, and therapeutic activities throughout the day Assist with meal preparation, feeding support, and hydration monitoring Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all program participants Document care provided and maintain accurate client records
Requirements:
Prior experience as a PCA, CNA, HHA, or in a direct care/caregiving role preferred Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled adults Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and dependable work ethic CPR/First Aid certification is a plus High school diploma or GED required
