Job Description

Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 6:00pm Occassionally some Saturdays when needed The Imaging Technologist Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of patient-related clerical and direct care activities. These include assisting, transporting, preparing, and observing patients to ensure safe, effective, and confidential patient care. The role also involves providing environmental and technical support, such as setting up and cleaning rooms and equipment for procedures. The Assistant supports the practice's values and clinical initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to quality service for patients, their families, the community, physicians, and associates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Greet patients, visitors, and staff professionally. 2. Confirm patient appointments and provide prep instructions. 3. Prepare procedure rooms with necessary instruments and supplies. 4. Assist during procedures and clean rooms afterward. 5. Prepare patients for procedures and perform limited patient care activities. 6. Perform venipuncture and administer injections after training. 7. Dispose of contaminated waste according to regulations. 8. Transport patients safely and handle medical devices with care. 9. Monitor patients for comfort and safety, alerting staff of any issues. 10. Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed. 11. Record and file patient and procedural data for accurate billing. 12. Support technologists with patient screening and paperwork. 13. Use information systems efficiently and adhere to HIPAA standards. 14. Complete required yearly courses through Stericycle's website. 15. Reschedule patient appointments if necessary. 16. Follow HIPAA policies when communicating with referring physician offices. 17. Other duties as assigned Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Minimum of 2 years of prior medical assistance experience. CMA preferred. 3. Ability to work confidentially and efficiently with physicians, staff, and patients. Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proven track record of excellent customer service and attention to detail. Basic office skills such as faxing, copying, and filing. 4. American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required.
