Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support in patient care settings, ensuring accurate medical documentation, medication administration, and assistance with daily activities for individuals across various care environments. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality, person-centered care in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and community-based programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while working within a dynamic and supportive team. Responsibilities Assist with patient care activities including vital signs monitoring, catheter care, tube feeding, and medication administration in compliance with medical protocols and safety standards Support residents and patients with daily living tasks such as mobility assistance, hygiene, and personal care in settings like assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information meticulously Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure proper medication administration and adherence to medical orders Observe and report changes in patient condition, including physiology knowledge related to vital signs, anatomy, and symptoms of dementia or Alzheimer's disease Follow HIPAA regulations strictly to protect patient privacy and confidentiality during all documentation and communication processes Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia care, memory care, hospice support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and procedures such as catheter care and tube feeding Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or complex health needs including Alzheimer's or dementia care Strong attention to detail in recording vital signs, medication administration, and medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance Certification or training related to nursing assistance or medical technology is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is essential Excellent communication skills paired with a compassionate approach to patient care Join us in delivering exceptional healthcare services that improve lives!
