POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Product Safety Technician is responsible for supporting Product Safety Team in monitoring, tracking, investigating, and improving product safety for Johnson Health Tech North America and Johnson Health Tech Trading. Duties will include working on the Product Safety Team to review reports of product safety issues, provide information to the Product Safety Committee, review returned units with Quality Engineers, and take ownership of escalated customer support contacts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review of Product Safety Reports (PSR) and Questionnaires (PSQ), provide insight to Product Safety Committee Contact Customers to gather information and coordinate remedies Help maintain all Product Safety Team (PST) records Assist with PST activities such as weekly meetings, data analysist, and evaluations Assist CTS Supervisors and CTS reps with PSR's and PSQ'S Assist PST Team in tracking cases as needed for PSR cases and relevant keyword search cases Help track product returns to ensure timely arrival of returned products Assist to coordinate analysis of returned products and create inspection report Maintains Confidentiality Help improve policies and training related to Product Safety Work on other projects as needed
Requirements:
Education:
Highschool Diploma or GED required. 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
Experience:
Minimum 3 Years as Product Safety Technician or similar role Experience in Customer Technical Service preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may lift, push, and pull weights up to 50 pounds in situations to support operations when needed. The majority of the time the employee will be involved in activities that require sitting, standing and walking in a production facility. The employee will need to grasp small objects and have visual acuity for operating the mechanical tools of the trade. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use tools such as multi-meters, calipers, and measurement blocks which expose them to electrical currents. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee should not be subjected to situations which negatively affect their health with respect to air quality or noise levels, etc.
