The Emergency Medical Services Technician is responsible for responding safely and promptly to medical emergencies within the community, providing care in accordance with treatment guidelines and medical control. Outside of emergency response, this role will maintain equipment, engage with the community, and participate in training and clinical opportunities to ensure ongoing knowledge and skill proficiency. Duties and Responsibilities Provide basic first-aid treatment as needed Provide life-saving medical interventions like CPR Document medical care given to patients Perform assessments to determine level of care. Create and deliver first aid training for the community. Communicate clearly and effectively with other first responders, emergency medical staff, and personnel Maintain emergency medical response equipment Create and deliver In-Service training to student EMS staff.
