Job Description

Purpose of Position:
To provide direct support to the village-based counseling staff, provide oversight of the implementation of the Behavioral Health Aide program, facilitate clinical supervision of clinical staff to include group, individual, and peer support; coordinating training and education on all clinical record documentation; overseeing clinical on-call and emergency services; and maintaining professional requirements and regulations for comprehensive quality care. Uphold the organization s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.
Essential Functions:
Oversee clinical services provided by village based counselors Coordinate training and certification of village-based counselors Oversee on-call and emergency services Coordinate the integration of Primary Care with Behavioral Health Services Provide clinical guidance for the development and management of the Wellness Center project Coordinate the implementation and use of the Behavioral Health Aide Manual Maintain chart compliance and review charts for completeness and accuracy for village-based services Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge:

Job Specific knowledge is listed below: Behavioral health services with cultural competency Protocols and practices for providing clinical services Responsibilities for each position being supervised Required regulations and training needs for clinical staff Experience in domestic violence, child sexual abuse, substance abuse, mental health emergencies, and child/family treatment as well as knowledge in evidence based practices such as DBT and Family Therapy Experience providing clinical services in Native Alaskan villages with a firm belief in self-determination and traditionally-centered and locally-based services that offer both the least restrictive environment and the innate strengths of Native traditions Clinical management experience in a Tribal Behavioral/Community Mental Health agency, preferably with Native Alaskans Experience in residential, day treatment and intensive outpatient treatment centers

LCSW/LPC/LMFT
Experience General (Non-supervisory)
Supervisory Amount:
3 years Clinical setting or behavioral health 2 years
Type:
Must have both general and supervisory experience if indicated.
Preferred:
Credentials Licensure, Certification, Etc. Licensed Clinician in the State of Alaska within one year of appointment
Physical Requirements:
Use hands and arms to operate office or clinical equipment Sit more than half the workday Stand and/or walk less than half the workday View electronic monitors for prolonged periods of time Use hands and arms for repetitive motion tasks Lift or carry unaided less than 25 pounds See and hear with normal acuity
Working Conditions:
Work is conducted in a standard office environment Some travel is required (between 25 and 50% of the time) Travel is done via large aircraft Travel is done via small (less than 16 passenger) aircraft Travel is done using snow mobiles, all-terrain vehicles or boat
