POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for maintaining a pleasant, efficient, and consistent flow in the daily operations (phones, scheduling, faxing, scanning, patient accounts) of the clinic by providing excellent customer service, communicating effectively with fellow employees, physician offices, patients and insurance companies, and efficiently handling all tasks related to claims and financial submissions. This position requires knowledge and execution of billing/revenue cycle and will help manage claim submission, remits and denials to ensure payment of services. Requirements include friendly attitude and excellent customer service, communication skills, ability to multitask, organizational detail, ability to meet deadlines, work with little to no supervision as a member of a team, efficient time management skills, and computer programs including Word and Excel. The ideal team player in this position exhibits excellent leadership skills, customer service skills, decision making and organizational abilities in addition to possessing excellent communication and teaching skills.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education High school or GED Minimum Experience Typing ability and one year of computer experience Required Registration/License/Certification BLS within 90 days of hire Preferred Education Associates Degree in Business or health-related field knowledge of medical terminology preferred knowledge of insurance and coding processes preferred Preferred Experience 1-2 years healthcare/hospital experience 1-2 years customer service experience Preferred Registration/License/Certification None required Other Requirements N/A
