This is a working manager position , meaning you'll provide leadership and oversight while actively supporting daily dietary operations alongside your team. This working manager role requires active participation in food service operations, staff supervision, scheduling, training, and resident meal satisfaction. ✅ Key Responsibilities Oversee daily dietary department operations Assist with meal preparation, service, and kitchen operations as needed Supervise, schedule, and train dietary staff Ensure compliance with sanitation, infection control, and food safety standards Monitor food quality, portion control, and resident satisfaction Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls Work closely with the Registered Dietitian and interdisciplinary team Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility dietary regulations Participate in quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness Qualifications Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required Long-term care or healthcare dietary management experience preferred Knowledge of dietary regulations, food safety standards, and therapeutic diets Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to lead a team while working alongside staff when needed Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and departmental operations Benefits Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Career Growth Opportunities Supportive Leadership Team "Our Family Caring For Yours" Equal Opportunity Employer Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Cahaba River is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
