Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hygiene Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the coordination of hygiene and infection control protocols within the clinical environment, ensuring compliance with health standards and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming space for patients and staff alike. Your proactive approach will support the delivery of exceptional patient care by managing sanitation schedules, verifying documentation, and facilitating effective communication across departments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-quality healthcare setting where patient safety and clinical excellence are top priorities. Duties Coordinate cleaning schedules with custodial staff to ensure all clinical areas meet hygiene standards Review medical documentation related to hygiene practices, including sterilization logs and sanitation reports Assist with patient intake processes, ensuring proper hygiene protocols are followed during visits Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supply inventories, and compliance audits Support clinical staff by managing supplies related to infection control and hygiene products Educate staff and patients on proper hygiene practices to promote health and safety within the facility Skills Strong knowledge of medical collection processes, including documentation review and compliance standards Familiarity with healthcare privacy regulations like HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Experience with medical coding systems including
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10
for accurate documentation and billing purposes Excellent organizational skills with experience in medical office management, scheduling, filing, and administrative support Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations Demonstrated customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and multi-line phone system operation Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for record keeping and reporting tasks Knowledge of dental terminology, dental office procedures (e.g., Dentrix or Eaglesoft), or hospital experience is advantageous Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies Strong attention to detail in medical records management, insurance verification, and documentation review Office experience in a healthcare setting with clerical responsibilities such as front desk duties or medical receptionist tasks Join our team as a Hygiene Coordinator to play a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment that prioritizes patient health while supporting efficient clinic operations.
