Join our team as an outstanding Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator, supporting our mission to deliver top-notch patient care and rehabilitation services. Patient Care Coordinators play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, serving as the first point of contact for our patients. This position involves providing essential administrative support, managing schedules, and assisting with various aspects of patient flow and clinic operations.
Responsibilities Patient Communication:
Serve as the first point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about our services. Schedule patient appointments and follow up with appointment reminders.Appointment Coordination:
Coordinate patient schedules with the availability of clinical staff to optimize patient care. Manage appointment cancellations, rescheduling, and waitlists as needed.Patient Registration:
Accurately collect payments and enter patient demographic and medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and signed by patients.Administrative Support:
Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and managing patient records. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and phone calls.Patient Advocacy:
Advocate for patients' needs within the practice, coordinating with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.Patient Education:
Educate patients on practice policies, procedures, and what to expect during their visits. Provide resources and materials as needed. Educate patients about their insurance coverage, including benefits, limitations, and any out-of-pocket expenses.Job Qualifications:
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.Experience:
1-3 years of similar experience preferredNote:
