Overview As a Revenue Cycle Trainer, you'll be responsible for revenue cycle training from needs assessment to design and delivery, independently applying adult education theory and knowledge of workflows and current technology. You'll develop, design, administer and manage the RCM new hire training programs, system upgrade training and testing, special projects, quality assurance, and compliance training. Responsibilities Develops curricula and delivers end-user training for corresponding modules of EHR and Practice Management System, specializing in NextGen Practice Management module(s) for revenue cycle staff Develops and maintains curricula such as lesson plans, manuals, and supporting learning tools utilized in training Prepares and delivers presentations, demonstrations, train-the-trainer and end user classes, and special training courses as needed Creates and publishes quarterly newsletters and other educational material Keeps up-to-date on the following knowledge areas: Revenue Cycle workflows, revenue cycle software system upgrades and enhancements, clinic department operations, medicare regulations and commercial billing guidelines, adult education theory and technologies, and NextGen systems patient access and revenue cycle systems Maintains comprehensive knowledge of 3rd party billing requirements and reimbursement principle. Acts as a designated super user for patient accounting system Assists in creating and maintaining master patient build in the training environment to support training and testing initiatives Maintains a high level of organization, time management and delegation skills necessary to prioritize and adjust work flow as volume and deadlines mandate Assists in diagnosing problems with files that fail compliance or do not process correctly Performs additional duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. BA/BS in Business Administration, Healthcare, Education, Finance or equivalent preferred 5+ years' experience in revenue cycle management (patient financial services/patient access) or as a trainer/educator in a healthcare environment, to include both classroom delivery and instructional design 2+ years' experience in a leadership role within a healthcare revenue cycle department Demonstrated knowledge of revenue cycle applications is required Proven leader with the ability to motivate others and success in revenue cycle training Proficient in the application of adult learning concepts to effectively manage class and guide end users to understanding Familiarity with NextGen Practice Management preferred Experience with Electronic Health Record systems or other software implementation training programs Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and diagnosis coding Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial payer guidelines, and HIPAA Rules & Regulations Experience working in MS Office Suite, to include Excel (advanced formulas, pivot table) Effective and polished presentation skills, and training delivery skills; ability to prioritize focus on topics based on audience level and time allotted Expert conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong customer serviced focus Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment Benefits & Perks Your health, happiness and your future matters!
