Job Description

Job Summary :
As the first point of contact to the clinic, New Patient Coordinator/Insurance Verification Specialist must possess exceptional customer service and communication skills. Medical background and knowledge of how a medical practice operates is a must. This position requires a team mentality, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, excellent written skills, knowledge of medical terminology and insurance, and computer and phone skills. Position Duties included, but not limited to :
Phone Calls and Scheduling:
Answer incoming phone calls from New Patients Successfully schedule new patient, while exceeding their expectations Collect complete & accurate demographic, insurance, purpose of visit, and referring provider information over the phone for new patient appointments Process new patient referrals from fax, online portals, phone, etc.
Verifications:
Accurately verify full insurance benefits & eligibility using multiple resources - Online portals and phone Answer questions from staff and patients regarding benefits and eligibility Identify any account issues and alert/work with management/billing department towards resolution.
General Patient Communication:
Communicate with patient to expect reminder emails and texts Send patient invites to website and patient portal
General Office Responsibilities:
Help with front office overflow when needed Maintain an organized and tidy work area Qualified candidates will have the following: Understanding of medical terminology Experience in a medical office setting Exceptional customer service and oral communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Bilingual a plus
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Experience:
New Patient Coordinator or Front Desk Coordinator:
2 years (Preferred) Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
