Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The ICU/DOU Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and coordination of clinical and operational activities within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Direct Observation Unit (DOU). The Manager ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with evidence-based practice, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. This role provides leadership for staff development, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote positive patient outcomes and operational excellence. The ICU/DOU Manager serves as a clinical leader, mentor, and resource for nursing staff while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, patient safety, and continuous performance improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Licensure:
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of recent critical care nursing experience. Minimum of two (2) years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
