Burbank, CA Job Details Full-time From $60,000 a year 15 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Hospice experience Hospice care Administrative experience Clinical documentation Senior leadership Full Job Description Hospice Administrator/ Designee We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Hospice Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our hospice agency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, knowledge of Medicare hospice regulations, and experience maintaining compliance with CMS, CDPH, and accreditation requirements. Responsibilities Oversee the overall daily operations and administration of the hospice agency. Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Medicare, and accreditation requirements . Provide leadership and supervision to clinical and administrative staff. Work closely with the Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS), Medical Director, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team. Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage based on patient census and agency needs. Monitor patient admissions, discharges, census, staffing, and quality of care. Oversee implementation and enforcement of agency policies and procedures. Participate in and oversee QAPI/quality improvement and compliance activities . Prepare the agency for regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditation reviews. Monitor documentation and ensure records are completed accurately and timely. Address patient/family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up. Participate in Governing Body activities and assist with implementing operational decisions. Assist with hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and staff education. Collaborate with billing, intake, clinical, compliance, and business development departments. Ensure the agency maintains compliance with applicable federal and California hospice regulations. Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Perform additional administrative duties necessary for the safe and compliant operation of the hospice. Qualifications Previous hospice or healthcare administration experience strongly preferred . Knowledge of Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation and California hospice regulations. Experience with CMS, CDPH, accreditation surveys, audits, and regulatory compliance preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities. Strong understanding of hospice operations, patient care coordination, staffing, documentation, and quality assurance. Must meet all applicable California requirements for a hospice administrator . Preferred Experience Hospice Administrator/Executive Director experience CDPH survey experience CMS/Medicare compliance ACHC or other hospice accreditation experience QAPI and compliance Hospice EMR experience Staff management and interdisciplinary team oversight

Monday-Friday, with availability as needed for administrative or operational issues.
Compensation:
Competitive and based on hospice administrative experience.
