ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE The Dental Clinical Services Supervisor (DCSS) works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare by cultivating an environment that produces excellent patient-centered care and clinical services within a dynamic team setting. To achieve these ends the Dental Clinical Services Supervisor works to ensure smooth workflow for clinical staff, meet quality measures and productivity goals, and support staff development by demonstrating and living the company values: Compassion, Above & Beyond, Generosity, Integrity, Teamwork. The Dental Clinical Services Supervisor's job responsibilities and performance expectations generally fall into the following three categories: Staff Management and Development, Dental Clinical Administration, and Operations Management.RESPONSIBILITIES
The Dental Clinical Services Supervisor nurtures employee growth and development by enabling employees to focus their efforts on direct patient care management. Example duties include, but are not limited to: Coaching, mentoring and staff development as well as managing conflict and providing feedback in a timely manner. Supports interdepartmental and role communication through department rounds, emails and meetings. Works to create a culture of teamwork, engagement, and patient-centered care. Provides sufficient coverage for clinic operations including staff scheduling, timecards, PTO requests, interviewing and selecting staff.CLINIC ADMINISTRATION & SUPPORRT
The Dental Clinical Services Supervisor promotes workflow efficiency and improves day to day clinic operations. Example duties include, but are not limited to: Identify critical issues impacting clinic workflow efficiency and implement changes as needed. Address patient concerns as they arise. Oversee clinical staff training and periodically review data entered into electronic dental records for compliance.OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
The Dental Clinical Services Supervisor connects clinical measures to operational goals. Example duties include, but are not limited to: Monitors operational and clinical metrics for opportunities and improvements to align with the company's strategic goals. Collects, organizes, and shares data with appropriate staff for continual quality improvement of operations. Performs data analysis to understand current and future needs, and to support workflow troubleshooting and effectiveness.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or 2+ years of relevant experience 2 years supervisory experience (preferred in a dental setting) OR 1 year Lead/Trainer experience with leadership training (e.g., Project LEAP- internal hires) Valid Registered Dental Assistant License required X-Ray license required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through an American Heart Association (AHA

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Knowledgeable about and experience with dental clinical workflows. Proficient in electronic dental records system. Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent planning and organizational ability Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner Ability to work under pressure and be flexible with changing site needs. Can work with people of all social and ethnic backgrounds and maintain confidentiality. Able to train and manage staff in a collaborative manner. The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position.
