Job Description
Sierra County is recruiting for a Director of Behavioral Health The Director is responsible for the administrative and clinical management of the Department of Behavioral Health. Responsibilities include the management and operations of Mental Health, The Mental Health Services Act, The Director of Behavioral Health acts as the Drug and Alcohol Program Administrator and those programs associated with each sub department of the Behavioral Health Agency. The Director is responsible for the management oversite, but not limited to establishing protocols, policies, and procedures applicable to all Behavioral Health staff and its programs as it relates to the department and the development of the Mental Health Plan. The Director is responsible for day-today operations, supervision, and administration, including budget development and asset management. The Director supervises the work of clinical and administrative staff assigned to the respective programs and activities to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Behavioral Health.
