MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
LCSW or LMFT, issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences, or possession of a license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology.
Other :
Two years of post-licensure experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting, other than a private practice, providing direct care. Crisis intervention certification required (may be acquired within 90 days of employment). Training in trauma-focused and/or trauma-informed psychotherapy is preferred. Attainment of at least 21 years of age. Job Description The Lead Clinician provides oversight of the mental health department consisting of mental health clinicians and behavioral health specialists. The Lead Clinician performs a wide range of therapeutic assignments related to the field of mental and behavioral health services and psychiatric social work as applicable by professional licensing laws. The Lead Clinician coordinates clinical services and trains designated staff on evidenced-based clinical approaches, trauma-informed care and crisis intervention, as necessary. In addition, the Lead Clinician has responsibility for performing, within the scope of licensure, a full range of psychotherapy and counseling services to minors and groups exhibiting a variety of mental health and related disorders. Under the direction of management, the Lead Clinician provides clinical and administrative supervision for assigned staff. Essential Duties
  • Provide trauma-informed and evidence-based guidance and serve as a casework consultant to clinical staff and other staff members, as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments for individuals, couples, and families.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Develop person-centered, trauma-informed and strength-based treatment plans.
  • Coordinate care within interdisciplinary team and community agencies.
  • Perform involuntary hospitalization procedures (5150) and Tarasoff assessments.
  • Prepare reports and compose correspondence.
  • Coordinate clinical decisions in response to operational demands.
  • Perform crisis intervention both during and after regular business hours.
  • Conduct clinical quality and compliance chart audits.
  • Provide clinical supervision and coaching for evidence-based treatment models.
  • Assist in creating training for staff, resource parents, and children in ORR program.

  • Participate in the intake process of children's admission into the ORR Program.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures.
  • Reads and responds to emails in a timely manner, ensuring effective communication with staff, managers, and administrators.
  • Attendance, participation, and facilitation of various team meetings including, but not limited to, pre-staffing meetings, lead meetings, and management meetings.
  • Represent the agency at conferences and address concerns raised by groups relative to assigned areas of responsibility; may represent the agency on matters relating to the service aspects of programs.
Observes assigned staff's interactions with children and resource parents, and while conducting home visits, offering constructive feedback as needed to assist in professional growth and development.
  • Maintain a professional presence and attitude by being open to developing an increased self-awareness, and healthy verbal, emotional, & and physical boundaries. Presenting a non-judgmental response to children's behavior and history.
  • Keep all sensitive medical and mental health information confidential in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law, the Office of Refugee Resettlement, and A Greater Love FFA.
  • Maintain knowledge of current Agency and ORR policies and procedures, in accordance with all ORR regulations and guidance. Keep staff updated regarding changes in agency, program, or state and federal policies, procedures, and law.
  • Maintain professional ethics and confidentiality as required by law and professional standards.
  • Conducts Staff and Resource Parents training.
  • Adhere to and enforce the adherence of all training requirements and maintain training records of assigned staff.
  • Review and approve assigned staff timesheets.
