Responsibilities Manage patient appointments efficiently using Dentrix software, ensuring accurate scheduling and documentation Serve as the first point of contact via phone providing friendly, professional assistance to patients Verify patient insurance information, explain health regulation policies, and assist with billing inquiries to facilitate smooth administrative workflows Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy laws and organizational policies Support medical staff by preparing medical documentation, updating patient records, and handling administrative tasks such as typing reports and correspondence Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely follow-up appointments and treatment plans are communicated effectively Assist patients with navigating health insurance options and understanding medical terminology to promote informed decision-making Qualifications Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of health regulation policies Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with medical administrative support tools Experience managing electronic health records and patient management software Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person Knowledge of health insurance processes, billing procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to type accurately and efficiently under pressure Understanding of medical terminology relevant to healthcare documentation and communication Join us as a Patient Care Coordinator and become a key player in delivering exceptional healthcare experiences.
