Back Makes on-site agency visits; visits students on clinical assignment. Oversees clinical affiliations/contracts that support nursing students clinical education Coordinates clinical site selection, affiliation agreements, and rotation schedule for the nursing program Assist in updating record/spreadsheet in department student tracking system to ensure current active affiliation with clinical sites and preceptors are available to students. Facilitate entry of information of agency and preceptor to the department student tracking system Oversees student information entered into the tracking system to ensure compliance with the clinical documents required Supervises clinical faculty performance; including preparing incident reports and counseling report that will go to the DON. Provides input into faculty evaluations Assists in assuring faculty are present in clinical sites per teaching assignments Covers for or arranges coverage for faculty absences from clinical assignments Aassumes responsibility and accountability for theory and clinical instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, evaluation of student and course outcomes, and planning, implementing and evaluating curriculum content. Attends faculty meetings, department in-service/meetings; serves on committees, as requested and provides constructive input to resolve problems. Maintains expertise/competence in area of specialty by attending conferences, seminars, and/or schools as required; reads and keeps current on latest technology and requirements in the area of specialty. Contributes to the growth of the profession. Oversees submission of student health forms and clearance. Provides early problem identification and resolution related to areas of concerns/needs of the nursing program and/or prospective and current clinical training site personnel. Ensure that all nursing staff clocks/in & out using ADP. Some teaching responsibilities Analyze program schedule every term and plan clinical student assignments accordingly. Assists in the utilization of the clinical/hospital and agency facilities to meet program and course outcomes for the nursing program in the following ways; Researches and prioritizes prospective contractual sites. Maintains positive public relations with prospective and approved clinical site personnel during contract negotiations, finalization and implementation phases; Possess a professional and positive attitude/ behavior at all times. No fraternization with students or staff at any site. Attendance at all clinical facilities orientation. Maintains confidentiality and does not disclose any confidential information to students and/or sites. Tracks all site visited daily and mileage spreadsheet. Must turn in map-quest proof with spreadsheet to main office to get reimbursed. Performs other duties as assigned Assists the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing in the following ways: o Securing facilities for clinical rotations. o Maintaining sites. Taking gifts/food promos etc. to sites which is will be provided by CNI. o Visiting students at sites weekly and maintaining all required paperwork and documentation. o Meet with site preceptor/staff to discuss students' progress if needed. o Conveys concerns and problems as well as exemplary conduct to Director of Nursing Qualifications - Clinical Manager Must have been actively employed in nursing for the past two years, preferably in supervisor or teaching. Bachelors degree in Nursing. Three years of clinical management experience preferred. May be considered if has advanced preparation in nursing, nursing education or nursing administration with prior relevant nursing employment. Must maintain current knowledge, clinical expertise, and safety in patient care; effective in directing and evaluating student learning, laboratory performance, and clinical performance while providing patient care; and be prepared in educational theory and techniques. Must have a valid RN license. Must have a valid CA driver's license and have personal insurance coverage in line with company driver's policy.
Full Job Description Position Summary:
As a Clinical Manager , Responsible for the overall success of the Nursing Program clinical placement through high-level planning, organization, and communication of student clinical placement. The ideal candidate will be an actively practicing nurse, board-certified, proficient driving, and proficient in all Microsoft products.
