Company Overview Southland Physical Therapy is a dynamic and fast-paced clinic dedicated to providing exceptional physical therapy services in a collaborative environment. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and personable Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions. The Patient Care Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for patients and plays an important role in scheduling, insurance verification, patient records, billing support, and maintaining an efficient flow of daily clinic operations.
Location Flexibility:
This position will be based at the assigned clinic location and will be required to float to our Stanton location as needed . Key Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide a professional, welcoming experience. Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments based on patient and provider needs. Verify insurance information, benefits, and authorization requirements as applicable. Assist patients with questions regarding insurance coverage, payments, and billing. Maintain accurate patient demographic, insurance, and medical records while protecting confidentiality. Manage incoming phone calls, messages, emails, and patient communications. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow. Assist with check-out, follow-up scheduling, payment collection, and other front-office procedures. Support billing and insurance-related administrative tasks as needed. Maintain an organized and professional front-office environment. Perform additional administrative duties to support the overall operations of the clinic. Qualifications Prior experience in a medical, physical therapy, chiropractic, or dental office is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare administrative procedures. Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, billing, or authorizations is a plus. Experience with EHR, scheduling, or practice management systems preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional, friendly, and compassionate demeanor. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively independently and as part of a team. Willingness to float to the Stanton location as needed . $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
