At Apex Infusion, we deliver experienced, one-on-one, personalized care for complex conditions in the comfort of your home or in our private Ambulatory Infusion Suites (AIS). We are growing rapidly throughout the California and looking for committed professionals who want to make a difference.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Infusion Suite Coordinator with experience as a Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in Salinas-Prunedale. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact at our Santa Barbara AIS and coordinate logistics between our Santa Barbara and neighboring sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and properly store medications shipped from our central headquarters in accordance with all regulatory and company protocols. Track and manage inventory for infusion medications and supplies. Maintain accurate records of received and transferred items. Communicate with the central pharmacy team and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflows. Assist with general administrative or clinical support tasks within the infusion center, as needed. Maintain compliance with safety, storage, and confidentiality standards. Coordinate timely medication and supply transfers between Santa Barbara and neighboring sites. Ensure that patient snacks are adequately stocked and that entertainment resources are readily accessible and functioning without issues. Work closely with Facilities Managers to ensure the infusion suite remains fully operational. Promptly address any issues to support seamless staff workflow and patient appointments. Oversee vendor appointments to ensure all visits proceed as planned and without issues.
Qualifications:
Active license/certification as a Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, or LVN. Prior experience in an ambulatory infusion center or suite, specialty pharmacy, or logistics role. Ability to lift boxes of 30 lbs. or less, and handle refrigerated medications with care. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships. Proficient in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools, including CPR+. Knowledge infusion therapy processes. A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
