Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Behavioral Health Coordinator to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties Conduct thorough behavioral health assessments and diagnostic evaluations for diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and adults. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that address mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and social determinants of health. Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Facilitate intake processes for new patients, including screening for mental health and behavioral issues, and work with community resources to support ongoing care. Provide mental health counseling and addiction counseling services, supporting patients through recovery journeys. Assist with utilization management by reviewing clinical documentation to optimize patient care pathways and resource utilization. Engage with families and caregivers to foster understanding and support throughout treatment processes. Maintain proficiency in CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), and other emergency procedures critical to inpatient care environments. Requirements Proven experience working in hospital settings, ideally within Level I or Level II trauma centers or acute care environments. Demonstrated expertise in behavioral health, including mental health counseling, social work, or case management roles. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology related to mental health conditions, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or from diverse cultural backgrounds is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and HIPAA compliance standards. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in high-pressure situations such as emergency departments or inpatient units. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, or other relevant emergency response certifications required. Skills in community resource coordination within healthcare social work frameworks; experience working with substance use disorders preferred. Excellent client communication skills alongside the ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of inpatient/post-acute/outpatient care processes related to behavioral health services is advantageous. Pay:

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
