Position Summary:
As the Nurse Manager for City of Hope's West Covina and Glendora Clinics, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating nursing staff, patient care, clinical quality, and staff development. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of those battling cancer and related conditions by providing exceptional care in a leading healthcare organization. The clinics are open Monday-Friday, closed weekends and most holidays. As a successful candidate, you will:
Nursing Staff Management:
Manage and lead nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Patient Care:
Oversee the provision of patient care, ensuring that all clinical services, including Infusion, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and Hematology, meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
Clinical Quality:
Implement and monitor clinical quality standards, protocols, and best practices to ensure compliance with City of Hope's high standards for care.
Staff Development:
Develop and provide ongoing education and training opportunities for nursing staff to enhance their skills and expertise, keeping them current with the latest advancements in oncology care.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and support staff, to ensure seamless care delivery and the best possible outcomes for patients.
Qualifications Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or BSN not required if holds MSN) Minimum of 3 years of experience in an area of expertise relevant to the department (infusion/oncology) with demonstrated progressive leadership growth California RN license A valid ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) National Certification (ONCC preferred) at the time of hire preferred, or must be acquired within 12 months of hire or transfer City of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
