This is a unique opportunity to join an established behavioral healthcare organization while helping build a new program from the ground up. The Clinical Director will play a critical leadership role in shaping clinical culture, mentoring therapists, ensuring high-quality care, and partnering with operations and medical leadership to create an exceptional treatment experience for adolescents and their families. About Ascend Healthcare Ascend Healthcare provides highly specialized behavioral health treatment for adolescents ages 12-17 through Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, our programs are designed around specific clinical needs, allowing our teams to provide more focused treatment and better outcomes for the adolescents and families we serve. Our treatment philosophy is grounded in evidence-based care, strong family involvement, collaboration, and compassionate leadership. Position Summary The Clinical Director provides leadership and oversight for all clinical programming within the residential program. This individual is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of clinical care while supporting, developing, and supervising the clinical team. The Clinical Director works closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Medical Director, Nursing, Education, Admissions, and Operations to ensure exceptional client care, regulatory compliance, and positive clinical outcomes. This is a highly collaborative leadership position for someone who enjoys mentoring clinicians while also helping shape systems, processes, and program development. ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership Provide leadership for all clinical programming and therapeutic services Supervise and develop Primary Therapists and other clinical staff Facilitate regular clinical supervision Review documentation for quality, timeliness, and compliance Ensure individualized, evidence-based treatment planning Support therapists in managing complex clinical presentations Lead multidisciplinary treatment team meetings Promote a trauma-informed, strengths-based treatment environment Program Development Assist in launching and growing a new residential treatment program Develop clinical systems and workflows Maintain consistency across treatment programming Ensure fidelity to Ascend's clinical philosophy Participate in quality improvement initiatives Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities for program enhancement Family Services Ensure high-quality family involvement throughout treatment Support therapists in family systems work Assist with challenging family dynamics Promote collaboration between families and treatment teams Team Leadership Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor clinical staff Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative culture Conduct performance evaluations Provide coaching and ongoing professional development Support employee engagement and retention Compliance & Quality Maintain compliance with Colorado licensing standards, Joint Commission standards, and payer requirements Monitor documentation quality and utilization management expectations Assist with audits and accreditation activities Ensure ethical and professional clinical practice Collaboration Partner closely with: Executive Leadership Medical Director and Psychiatry Team Director of Nursing Education Team Admissions Operations Leadership to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
